The spirit of Indonesia’s culture richness came alive at the TEDxIPB Pre-Event themed “Nusantara”, held on Saturday, 25 October 2025. From noon until late afternoon, the event successfully created an atmosphere that combined educational inspiration, cultural appreciation and fun entertainment that drew the attention of all visitors.
The highlight of the day took place on the main stage, featuring an exclusive talk show with the TEDxIPB Brand Ambassador. They shared inspiring stories about scholarship opportunities and studying abroad, as well as the important role of young people in preserving Indonesia’s cultural heritage in this modern era. These motivational talks encouraged the audience to keep contributing positively to the nation, reflecting the spirit of “Nusantara”.
Besides the talks, the event also invited visitors to take part in many cultural and creative activities. Indonesia’s beauty was shown through a stunning traditional dance performance that brought the charm of Lampung’s tradition to the soul of the campus. Guests also enjoyed creative workshops such as face painting, bracelet making and batik workshops, which gave participants a closer experience with Indonesia’s unique cultural heritage.
To make the atmosphere even warmer, a special areas was set up for visitors to play and have fun together. Traditional games like engklek, congklak, and jump rope, brought back joyful childhood memories and helped build stronger connections among IPB students and the community. A lively bazaar area offering preloved items, food and drink added more excitement to the event, making it both educational and entertaining.
Overall, the “Nusantara” pre-event of TEDxIPB University was not only a great warm up for the main event but also a meaningful celebration that combined learning, culture and creativity. It helped raise appreciation for Indonesia’s heritage while building a strong sense of togetherness and creativity within the IPB University community.
